Meet Maddy
Maddy Cristall is a dedicated and passionate unscripted film and TV producer who places a strong emphasis on story, development, and casting. She currently holds the role of Development Producer at the award-winning Fireworks Media Group, where she contributes to innovative and compelling content. Recently, Maddy worked as Story and Casting Producer on the highly popular Paramount+ docuseries Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout., a project that is rapidly gaining widespread attention and acclaim. In addition to this, she has contributed her expertise to Fox and CTV’s Extracted and played key roles on various shows including Pets & Pickers, Dancing with Mom, and Exposed: Naked Crimes. Most recently, she completed story work on an exciting new series scheduled for release in early 2026 and is actively developing several new true-crime projects. Maddy’s work has been showcased across major platforms such as CTV, Fox, Amazon, Paramount+, Apple TV, HBO, and many others, reflecting her broad experience and industry impact.

Maddy has established herself as a driven and passionate unscripted producer with a specialty in story, development, and casting. As the Development Producer for Fireworks Media Group, she plays a key role in shaping award-winning, globally recognized series while continuing to push into fresh creative terrain.
Her recent work as Story and Casting Producer on Paramount+’s Thirst Trap: The Fame. The Fantasy. The Fallout. (2025) has garnered widespread attention for its explosive exploration of internet celebrity and fandom culture. Before that, she worked in story on Extracted (Fox/CTV), a survivalist series that tested resilience, strategy, and willpower in extreme conditions.
Maddy’s credits extend across a wide range of unscripted programming, from Pets & Pickers (CTV) to Dancing with Mom (Knowledge Network) to Exposed: Naked Crimes (HBO). Most recently, she completed work in story on a new series set to release in early 2026, while also co-developing true-crime projects and other original concepts that reflect her commitment to urgent and compelling storytelling.
Beyond her production work, Maddy is the founder and editor-in-chief of Citrus Magazine and the creator of Pulp Publicity, a boutique PR firm that champions storytellers across film, TV, and music. She has also authored a young adult book that captures the humor, heart, and complexities of growing up.
With a Master’s in Journalism from the University of British Columbia, Maddy brings a research-driven, collaborative approach to all her work. She remains immersed in both story and development, with an expanding slate of projects she looks forward to sharing with the world.
